As a Rigger, you will:
  • Perform a variety of mechanical duties involving deck machinery, engine room work, electronic equipment, staging work, testing, steel/pipe work, general dock, rudders, shafting, wheel work, and anchor chain work
  • Operate equipment for assembly and installation
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
  • Build/inspect scaffolding and staging
  • Work with Cranes, Winches and Cargo Booms
  • Work a variety of shifts (1st shift 7:15 am to 4:00 pm, 2nd shift 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, 3rd shift 11:45 pm – 7:45 am – shifts may vary depending on site and workload) 


 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to wear appropriate protective gear
  • Able to physically perform essential job duties with or without accommodations
  • Able to work at heights, in confined spaces and have the ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes
  • Able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Able to calculate and understand units of measure, including fractions and decimals
  • Know how to measure using a scale and tape measure
  • Ability to read a micrometer and dial indicator
  • One or more of the following certifications may be required consistent with business needs:
    • Forklift certification
    • Dynalift certification
    • Payloader lift certification
    • Extender boon forklift license and certification
  • 5 years related experience for 1st Class or Specialist, 5 years related experience for 2nd Class, 4 years related experience for 3rd Class.
