Description

Summary
The purpose of this position is to assemble parts and utilize hand tools to put the finishing touches on boat trailers by 
installing the add-ons and accessories (e.g., lighting, non-skid matt, fenders, wheel, tires, boards, wench, jack).
Essential Functions
  1. Assemble and install large and small parts.
  2. Use measuring tapes and combination squares to position, align, and secure parts. 
  3. Operate hand tools to secure bolts, screws and parts.
  4. Examine workpieces for defects, blemishes and quality; notify supervisor of any concerns and perform repairs as 
    needed.
  5. Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work.
  6. Maintain, organize and clean workstation and equipment.
  7. Be an inspiring example of the company’s mission by consistently providing quality results.
  8. Ensure all actions are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  9. Complete other duties and cross-training activities as assigned.
Additional Duties
  1. Work daily overtime, as required, to complete the day’s scheduled assignments.
  2. Cross-train in other departments to be able to assist where and when needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum six (6) months assembly or warehouse experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge
  • Knowledge, recognition and use of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications.
Competencies
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and job duties
  • Willingness to help where and when needed, beyond the scope of normal day-to-day duties
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret written instructions
Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to see small details at close range
  • Ability to quickly move your hands, arms, or fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • Balance and flexibility, with an ability to safely navigate over and around equipment and tools
  • Ability to work in varied positions (e.g., overhead, flat, and vertical work)
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and squatting 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Occupational Conditions
  • Manufacturing facility – must comply with all safety regulations and PPE requirements (e.g., gloves, face shields, steel 
    toe shoes, safety glasses)
  • Exposure to hot and cold temps for long periods of time
