Rope Access Level III Technician
Job Summary
- As a Rope Access Level III Technician, you will specialize in the knowledge of Rope Access Technology to manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, organize work functions specific to rope access jobs and supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights.
- Ensure individual and organizational compliance with SPRAT/IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work.
- Ultrasonic thickness, qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications. Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified, and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel. Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
Job Duties
To include performing or coordinating the following:
- Apply Pinnacle’s Non-Destructing Testing Standards while utilizing Rope Access techniques
- Responsible for safety management, work site organization, and where applicable, supervisory roles and responsibilities and providing leadership to work crews on various projects
- Perform inspection work that consists of UTT and some Visuals, MT and PT testing as needed
- Understand and follow safety procedures and ensure requirements are being met
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to local regulation, Company/Customer safety standards and practices, alert others regarding potential hazards or concerns
Accountabilities
- Able to demonstrate all skills and knowledge required of a Level III Rope Access Technician
- Inspect all NDE and Rope Access equipment before use and ensure functionality
- Perform job specific tasks as they relate to NDE
- Assist in managing the safety and quality of Rope Access personnel
Required Qualifications/Skills/Competencies
- Must hold and maintain SRAT or IRATA level III certification
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified
- UTT MT PT on the job training hours
- Must pass Level II UT testing with Pinnacle, MT and PT if applicable to the site
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- ISQ certification or the capability of passing ISQ is a plus
- Must pass DISA background and drug and alcohol screen.
- Must possess valid driver’s license and TWIC card
- Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills with a positive team-oriented attitude
- Must have time-management skills and the ability to work within a productive capacity on a consistent basis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $59.00 per hour
