Position Summary

 

Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking Rope Access Journeyperson Electrician to support operations in our Atlantic Region, specifically Newfoundland.

Responsibilities

Working at heights you will be responsible for tasks such as 

  • Set up and maintaining electrical systems where required
  • Installing and connecting electrical components such as motors, transformers, control panels, and other equipment necessary for industrial operations
  • Running conduit, pulling wire, and installing outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical components in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Understanding electrical plans and schematics to ensure proper installation according to design specifications and code.
  • Diagnosing and repairing issues with circuits, breakers, lighting, or other electrical components using testing tools like multimeters.
  • Making sure all work meets local and national electrical codes (like the NEC) for safety and functionality.
  • Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on panels, transformers, and other electrical infrastructure.
  • Cable pulling, splicing, trouble shooting, heat trace experience.
  • Identify issues, replace faulty components, and to ensure that all machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician Trade certification 
  • IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification
  • Current safety certifications as required by client and provincial standards
  • V deck training would be an asset
