Location: Bremerton, WA

What You'll Be Doing:

Assist Rigger I & Rigger II in mooring and unmooring operations and operating and maintaining rigging equipment utilized at NAVSEA Inactive Ship On-site Maintenance Office. Will be to handle every type, kind and size objects, aboard ships and in shops, with the help of cranes, chain falls, rope falls.

Major Activities Performed:

• Heavy exertion, excessive walking, arduous and hazardous assignments are at frequent intervals. Frequently exposed to heavy moving objects, elevations, working from ladders or platforms, and extreme weather conditions. Must be able to handle and lift object of 50 pounds or greater. Must be physically able to kneel, crouch, stoop, climb and work in awkward positions.
• Must observe safety precautions and ensure compliance in safety.
• May be to travel up to 25%.
• Must be available to work overtime if .
• Adhere to all corporate core values, policies, and procedures in the execution of all responsibilities.
• Must be able to work effectively with co-workers in a professional manner at all times.
• Must attend and graduate from P-307 course.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

• One (1) year of experience under the guidance of a rigger or relevant experience in the military.

General Information:

• In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must become well versed in rigging trade terminology. Should possess excellent verbal communication skills. Must participate in company rigger training program and maintain worklog to advance to Rigger II. May be assigned to qualify as Small Boat Operator

Knowledge Required:

• Basic math skills
• General understanding of rigging devices and application
